Industrial Centrifugal Fans

Single inlet, in-line and belt driven centrifugal fans for systems requiring higher static pressure.

Centrifugal fans are used where the system resistance is high, long duct runs, filtration stages, dust collectors and kitchen exhaust. Backward curved and forward curved impellers suit different pressure and volume combinations.

Selection is made at the calculated duty point, allowing for filter loading and duct resistance, and includes drive arrangement, motor position and air stream temperature.

Typical applications

  • Dust and fume extraction systems
  • Kitchen exhaust with long duct runs
  • High-temperature extraction
  • Process air supply
  • Filtration and scrubber systems

Engineered as a complete air path.

  1. 01

    Duty point

Required volume and total static pressure are calculated for the full system.

  2. 02

    Impeller type

Backward or forward curved impeller selected for the pressure/volume combination.

  3. 03

    Drive arrangement

Direct or belt drive, with motor in or out of the air stream as conditions require.

  4. 04

    Installation

Fan mounted with anti-vibration supports and flexible connections.

  • Performance held against high system resistance
  • Robust construction for continuous industrial duty
  • Motor protected from hot or contaminated air streams
  • Corrosion resistant housing options

Common questions.

Centrifugal or axial fan?
Axial fans move large volumes at low pressure; centrifugal fans hold pressure through resistance. The system resistance decides.
Can fan speed be adjusted after installation?
Yes, pulley changes on belt drives or a speed drive on direct drive units allow the duty to be trimmed.
